A serious accident occurred this Friday morning in Pontivy in Morbihan, reports

For an as yet undetermined reason, a car fell into the Nantes-Brest canal at a lock around 9:30 a.m.

Alerted, the firefighters discovered the lifeless bodies of two people inside the vehicle.

Specialized investigators were dispatched to the scene to determine the circumstances of the accident and identify the victims.

A crane truck was also mobilized to extract the car from the water.
