• Marseille senator Stéphane Ravier announced that he was leaving the authorities of the RN to launch his movement, "Marseille first".

  • What to question at the RN in Marseille, who fears that this decision will hide an imminent rallying to Eric Zemmour of Stéphane Ravier and other local activists.

For years, he has been in all the elections, all the meetings, all the TV shows, all the interventions.

He is the one who embodies, in Marseille, the National Rally.

For how much longer ?

This Thursday evening, in front of an audience of activists gathered in front of his office, the only senator from Marine Le Pen's party, Stéphane Ravier, publicly announced what looks like a consummate break with his party. 'origin.

"I am withdrawing from all Parisian authorities, to devote myself only to Marseille by creating a "Marseille first" movement", he said.

If he does not yet officially leave the RN permanently, this withdrawal is wreaking havoc a little more in the Marseille ranks of the RN, already well dispersed for a few weeks.

Behind the anger of Stéphane Ravier indeed hides a conflict between the senator and Franck Allisio, RN municipal councilor of Marseille and adviser to Marine Le Pen about a sponsorship of another RN municipal councilor, Sophie Greich, in… Eric Zemmour.

Stéphane Ravier, president of the RN group on the Marseille city council, refused to exclude Sophie Greich, leading, by way of protest, to the departure of four elected members of this group, including Franck Allisio.

" What is he doing ?

»

“I am loyal and I learned loyalty and fidelity from Stéphane Ravier, says Eléonore Bez, who also left the group.

And I don't understand his approach.

The creation of this movement is part of a local approach.

I don't think he's doing anything against Marine Le Pen's presidential candidacy.

"A local party, I don't know what that means," retorts Franck Allisio.

I wait.

We look at that.

Our militants ask us: "what is he doing?"

I do not understand.

Our activists want it to stop and we campaign for the presidential election.

That's the priority today!

The recent declarations of Stéphane Ravier above all raise fears of a possible deeper split within the Marseille RN, between those who would remain in the bosom of Marine Le Pen, and those who would move away from it, following in the footsteps of the senator who enjoys a certain notoriety and a network locally.

"Stéphane Ravier is an activist, not a political professional," says Sophie Greich.

He is known throughout Marseille, and has traveled throughout the department.

People appreciate it immensely.

I know a lot of people who vote for Stéphane Ravier, even though it doesn't necessarily fit with Marine Le Pen.

“And to warn:” Stéphane Ravier is free to do as he wants and I will remain faithful to him.

I will follow him in whatever he decides to do.

“Including if he decides to join Eric Zemmour?

" We'll see.

I wait.

Closeness with Eric Zemmour

Very admiring of Jean-Marie Le Pen, close to Marion Maréchal-Le Pen whose wedding he preferred to attend rather than go to Marine Le Pen's political comeback, Stéphane Ravier has always refused to criticize Eric Zemmour.

The senator also welcomed the polemicist during his last visit to Marseille, a few years after they held a meeting together at Parc Chanot.

However, on this Thursday evening of declaration of war, in front of his permanence, a certain Marc-Etienne Lansade left his town hall in Cogolin, in the Var, to appear alongside Stéphane Ravier.

The city councilor returned his FN card in 2017, and is now a displayed support for Eric Zemmour.

“Stéphane Ravier is one of my friends, justifies Marc-Etienne Lansade.

We did the 2015 campaign together and I came to express my support.

And we also had two or three topics to discuss.

Whose rallying to the polemicist?

“I don't want to know, sweeps Marc-Etienne Lansade.

Stéphane is a big boy, but if he wants to join Eric Zemmour, I would be very happy, because he is a man of great quality, and we share the same basic ideas.

“I know that there are discussions between the teams of Stéphane Ravier and the teams of Eric Zemmour”, advance Jeanne Marti.

The one who presents herself as a "friend" of Stéphane Ravier was first elected alongside him, under the RN label, in Marseille, before recently becoming coordinator of Reconquest in the Bouches-du-Rhône.

“I don't know if Stéphane Ravier will join Eric Zemmour, and I wonder, slips Franck Allisio.

I hope not: the subject is to make Marine Le Pen win, and at the RN, we do not want anyone to leave.

Then everyone makes their choice.

But they must be made clear.

And there, it is not clear.

Contacted, Stéphane Ravier did not respond to our requests at the time of writing.
