“EU ambassadors today approved the proposal of the European Commission to provide additional macro-financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of €1.2 billion,” TASS reports.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, following the visit of French leader Emmanuel Macron to Kiev, announced the intention of the French authorities to allocate €1.2 billion in financial support.

On February 1, the European Commission approved the allocation of a loan of €1.2 billion in macro-financial assistance to Ukraine.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that in recent months Ukraine has received about $1.5 billion in support from Western partners.
