The Director of Health and Medical Services: "We must review the range of care"

Region Västernorrland is struggling with a tight economy, many redundancies and difficulties in staffing.

Health and medical care director Kurt Pettersson says that the situation is worrying and said earlier this week that salary increases for health care staff are being discussed.

He now also flags that the region may need to review the range of care to maintain safe care.

Crisis of trust between management and staff

Several nurses we spoke to say that they no longer have confidence in the top management.
