The Sudan Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai will host performances of the Sudanese dress by 17 designers, who came to the UAE to share with the world their latest designs, starting from today until next Tuesday, with the aim of communicating with the people of the world and introducing them to heritage and contemporary designs.

Sarah Yassin, one of the designers, said: "The event comes under the title (Original and Sudanese), as we present shows of costumes from the Sudanese heritage, in addition to a modern collection," noting that the performances will include dedicated lyrical and musical segments, in addition to a variety of colors. Embroidery and knitting methods.

Designer Zina Balnour Taha said: "(Expo 2020 Dubai) is an international forum through which we introduce all the peoples of the world to our beautiful heritage and distinctive fashion, and we further highlight the African continent with its cultural richness and creativity, especially that all the countries of the brown continent are excellently represented in this edition of International Expo.

While the designer, Maren Qassem, considered that the presence at the "Expo Dubai" is an opportunity to introduce the world to our homeland and our culture, and to learn about different countries and cultures in this event, which represents the present and the future, and provides a valuable opportunity to open up to all civilizations.

The designers agreed that the Sudanese dress is still affected by the ancient heritage of their country, with a modern touch that keeps pace with international fashion, as various raw materials of fabrics from the best factories in the world are added to it, decorated with happy and harmonious colors, and studded with crystals and beads.

They emphasized that the international event would contribute to the launch of the Sudanese dress to the world, as it could inspire fashion houses to include it in their future designs.
