A new health protocol at school should be known on Friday.

Among the changes likely to be announced: the lifting of the wearing of a mask in the playground, the reduction of the three self-tests to two self-tests, and the end of the attestation on honor.

The reductions concerning the school protocol for the start of the February vacation should be unveiled on Friday.

The Minister of Education, Jean-Michel Blanquer, meets Friday morning, between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., with the teachers' unions to explain the new rules to them, before disclosing them to the press.

In early January, the new protocol had been announced in

Le Parisien

, before the rest of the educational community became aware of it.

This time, therefore, the error will not be repeated.

Lifting of the wearing of the mask

According to the teachers' unions, which spoke at length with the ministries of Education and Health on Tuesday, the main change would concern the lifting of the wearing of masks outside, in the playground.

This measure is more consensus in relation to the fact of removing it in the classes, where the risk of contamination is higher.

Two self-tests and disappearance of the certificate

The reduction in the number of self-tests, for pupils with contact cases, is also very likely.

Only two tests, instead of three today, should now be required.

And the sworn statement, which certifies that a result is negative, should disappear.

Sophie Vénétitay, from the SNES-FSU union, explains that this document is regularly falsified.

"Our students admit that they present certificates without having taken the tests", she confides.

“It is also a heavy burden for the supervisors, who spend their time checking them,” she adds.

Minister Jean-Michel Blanquer should specify these new rules during the day.

Their entry into force should probably be set for the start of the February holidays "zone by zone", that is to say from Monday February 21 for zone B.
