But several foreign media later said that before the Winter Olympics, Russian competitor and figure skater Valieva tested positive for a prohibited drug.

The International Inspection Agency (ITA) released a message on February 11 to explain the relevant situation.

Data map: On February 6th, the Winter Olympics figure skating team competition officially kicked off. Valieva, a talented Russian Olympic team player under the age of 16, is like a fairy on ice.

The International Inspection Agency (ITA) said that a sample provided by Russian contestant Valieva on December 25, 2021, tested positive.

The athlete has since been temporarily suspended by the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA).

ITA also stated that on February 9, 2022, Valieva challenged the temporary suspension and held a hearing on the same day.
