“Yesterday, at about 4 pm, the SIZO officers came to my hospital cell and told me to pack my things.

I was transferred from the hospital to an ordinary four-bed cell in a pre-trial detention center, and without explanation.

Doctors were not present at the same time, ”Khurudzhi quoted Zuev as saying.

The human rights activist added that Rector Shaninka had to spend the first night on a bunk in the second tier, but in the morning one of the cellmates from the lower bed changed places with him.

The interlocutor of RT said that in the morning Zuev's blood pressure rose to 180 units.

“He was taken to a doctor in a pre-trial detention center (not a prison hospital, these are different institutions), and she gave him pills that brought down the pressure to 145 units.

But, according to Zuev himself, his medical record with the results of examinations and appointments was not transferred from the hospital to the medical unit of the pre-trial detention center,” the human rights activist added.

He clarified that Zuev has normal relations with the new cellmates.

Earlier, the Federal Penitentiary Service in Moscow reported that Zuev is under constant supervision of medical workers, his state of health is assessed as satisfactory.

Zuev is accused of embezzling more than 21 million rubles.

According to investigators, in 2018, together with ex-deputy minister of education Marina Rakova and former deputy general director of the Foundation for New Forms of Education Development Yevgeny Zak, he conspired to steal money from the RANEPA.
