Fujairah Police reported that an (Asian) driver ran over an (Asian) person with his vehicle on an internal road in the Murbah area in Fujairah, causing severe injuries, and then fled the scene, and the security services succeeded in arresting the fugitive driver within 12 hours of the accident .
The Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department in Fujairah Police, Colonel Saleh Mohammed Al-Dhanhani, confirmed to "Emirates Today" that the operations room received a report at about 11 pm the day before yesterday, stating that there was a run-over accident on one of the internal roads in the Murbah area, and there was an injured person and the driver escaping The cause of the accident was to an unknown destination, and immediately was moved to the scene of the accident, and it was found that the injured person has the nationality of an Asian country, so he was transferred to Fujairah Hospital to receive the necessary treatment due to his severe injury.
He pointed out that the search and investigation team was formed from the Investigation and Traffic Department in cooperation with the Murbah Police Station (the jurisdiction area), in order to arrest the driver who caused the accident, adding that the search team managed within 12 hours to arrest the driver who caused the accident, on one of the roads. The Interior Ministry in the Murbah area, and it was found that he was driving the vehicle of a person who left the country.
