US Senator Menendez: consideration of possible new sanctions against Russia has reached a dead end

"I think we've hit a dead end," Menendez was quoted as saying by CNN.

According to the journalist, the congressmen’s disagreements relate to “secondary sanctions against the bank and Nord Stream 2.”

In January, US senators proposed imposing restrictions on a number of Russian financial institutions, including Sberbank, VTB and Gazprombank, in the event of an aggravation of the situation around Ukraine.
