Just before 10 pm on Wednesday evening, a police patrol tried to get a car to stop in Älvdalen because they suspected that the men in the car were trying to hose diesel from parked work vehicles.

Instead of stopping, the driver of the car chose to try to escape and according to the police, a shorter chase started where the men sprayed powder or foam from a fire extinguisher against the police car.

The escape attempt ended in a ditch and the three men, all of whom are in their 25s, were arrested.

The men are now suspected of blue light sabotage and attempted theft and the driver of the car also for drunk driving, gross illegal driving and gross negligence in traffic.

After questioning, the men were arrested by prosecutors.
