“On February 10, at the combined arms training grounds of the Armed Forces of Belarus, as part of the second stage of testing the response forces of the Union State, the joint exercise “Union Resolve-2022” began,” RIA Novosti reports.

During the exercise, maneuvers will be carried out to work out the tasks "to suppress and repel external aggression in the course of a defensive operation, as well as counter terrorism and protect the interests of the Union State."

Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, announced that the head of state Vladimir Putin had no plans to visit the exercises of Russia and Belarus "Allied Resolve".

Russia's Permanent Representative to the EU Vladimir Chizhov recalled that joint exercises between Russia and Belarus should not cause concern.
