Prime Minister Kishida said that five former Prime Ministers sent a letter to the EU = European Union stating that many children are suffering from thyroid cancer due to the accident at TEPCO's Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. In response to the Liberal Democratic Party's request for strengthening information dissemination based on scientific knowledge, he expressed his intention to consider a response.

Junichiro Koizumi, Morihiro Hosokawa, Naoto Kan, Yukio Hatoyama, and Tomiichi Murayama, who have experience as prime ministers, joined the EU = European Union last month in the accident at the Fukushima nuclear power plant. Regarding this, the Liberal Democratic Party's chairman of the political investigation, Takaichi, met with Prime Minister Kishida at the Prime Minister's Office and handed over the resolution that the party had put together.



In the resolution, the letter "has to be irresponsible because it disseminates false information that is not based on scientific knowledge to the world. It may lead to unprovoked discrimination and prejudice. Strongly urges the strengthening of the dissemination of correct information both domestically and internationally. "



In response, Prime Minister Kishida responded, "I would like to thoroughly consider how to properly disseminate information."
