He noted that he sent a letter to Lavrov on the basis of a unanimous decision of 27 EU member states.

“It addresses the issues raised by Minister Lavrov and reaffirms the proposal of the EU and its members to continue dialogue with Russia on ways to improve security for all,” the statement said.

According to him, the European Union pursues a common foreign and security policy.
