The UPN guarantees and discipline committee

has informed the deputies

Sergio Sayas and Carlos García Adanero

of their

temporary expulsion for 2 and a half years

for having voted against the

labor reform of the Government of Pedro Sánchez, disobeying the orders

given by the management of the Navarre party.

The internal control body chaired by

Jaime Ubillos

has closed the first part of the sanction file promoted by the president of UPN

Javier Esparza

last Friday with the meeting of the party's leadership.

Esparza urged his two deputies to

deliver the minutes of Congress

or an expulsion procedure would begin, already underway.

UPN wants to close as soon as possible the crisis

generated during the voting of the labor reform in Congress and has already communicated the sanction of 2 and a half years of expulsion to each of its wayward deputies.

Sayas and García Adanero appeared before this body made up of five members who had

five days to prepare the first opinion

.

Before the guarantees committee was activated, the UPN leadership had already transferred an image of forcefulness against its two affiliates with the meetings held last Friday, February 4, and Friday, February 5, by the Executive and the Political Council.

President

Esparza managed to get 80% of the members of the Political Council

- the highest body of the UPN between congresses - to support the order to the two deputies to leave their minutes after having voted against Sánchez's reform despite the fact that the secretary General

Yolanda Ibáñez

had informed them that the vote should be in favor.

UPN decided to support the reform as a gesture to endorse the agreement between unions and businessmen but after a negotiation carried out by Esparza with

the Minister of the Presidency Félix Bolaños and the leader of the PSOE Santos Cerdán

.

Esparza, in an interview published by EL MUNDO, has refused to delve into the scope of the pact reached and which was put on hold after the decision of Sayas and Adanero not to follow the guidelines of their party.

The leader of UPN has limited himself to pointing out issues related to the

"economic development and coexistence of Navarra"

in addition to the gesture of the PSN announced by its own leaders to withdraw a disapproval of the mayor of Pamplona Enrique Maya and to facilitate budgetary investments worth 25 million euros by expanding the municipal accounts for 2022.

The two Navarrese deputies will

present an appeal before the guarantees committee

, they will not hand over their minutes as deputies and intend to bring

their expulsion before the Justice

if they are definitively sanctioned.
