New Zealand media reported on the 8th that a family was surprised when six Star Wars figures from the movie, considered trash in New Zealand, were sold for more than $50,000 at an online auction.

News Hub reports that Melanie Mercier found six Star Wars figures, including Darth Vader, while cleaning out items left at her mother's house after her mother passed away.

Mercier thought she was going to throw things in the trash at first.

"I think her mother bought it for her little brother in the '70s and she probably forgot about it and left it alone," he said.

He informed a friend of this, and he offered to sell it for him, and the plastic warriors such as Darth Vader, C3PO, Han Solo, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, and Princess Leia, who almost went into the trash, were sold on New Zealand's online auction site Trademe. came out with

Surprisingly, interest in the Star Wars figure was soaring, and bids, which started at $25, soared to the top of the list, lightly jumping over the $4,000 mark as the auction closes on the 5th approaches.

It was a moment when garbage was truly reborn as a treasure.

At the end of the heated competition, the lucky protagonists paid $10,000 Solo, $9,600 Obi-Wan Kenobi, $9,550 Darth Vader, $9,000 C3PO, $8,150 Luke Skywalker, and $8,150 Princess Leia. The total was $52,350 including $6,050.

"It really felt like flying," Mercier said. "The figures thank those who bought them."

Figure collector Steve said he didn't get one at this auction, but it's a great opportunity to get something rare.

The original price of these figures, which is modeled after the shape of the movie characters in plastic, is said to be around $20.
