Reuters quoted the Israeli occupation army as saying that it targeted Syrian missile batteries and a radar after an anti-aircraft missile was launched towards Israel.

In turn, the Syrian News Agency (SANA) reported that the Syrian air defenses responded at dawn today, Wednesday, to what it described as "Israeli aggression" with missile bursts from southeast Beirut, and then "aggression" with surface-to-surface missiles from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan.

The agency, quoting an unidentified military source, indicated that these strikes targeted some points in the vicinity of the capital, Damascus.

She added, "Our air defenses confronted the aggression's missiles and shot down some of them, and work is underway to check the results of the aggression."
