In the appeal, the legislator noted that, in accordance with tax legislation, heirs of the first stage - children, spouses and parents of the testator - are required to pay a state duty in the amount of 0.3% of the value of the inherited property.

At the same time, he clarified that some categories of citizens, such as minor children, heroes of the USSR and Russia, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, are exempt from paying this fee.

At the same time, the heirs of the first stage from among pensioners do not currently have benefits for paying the state duty, the amount of which can be a significant amount for them, commensurate with the monthly pension or exceeding it, Vlasov emphasized.

“In this regard, I ask you to consider the possibility of including citizens receiving an old-age pension in the list of persons exempted from paying the state fee for issuing a certificate of the right to inheritance if they act as the heir of the first stage in the inheritance case” , says the text of the appeal.

Earlier, the State Duma proposed to abolish the tax on the sale of inherited real estate.
