A vehicle, remained in full headlights, hinders the motorist in front of him.

A banal story that could have had dramatic consequences.

Friday evening, an altercation broke out on boulevard Henri-Fréville, in Rennes, between eight people who were in two cars.

The first reproached the other for having left its full headlights on the ring road.

The Rennes prosecutor's office speaks of "a clumsy driving" which caused a brawl on the boulevard located south of Rennes.

The problem is that not everyone seems ready to express themselves.

According to the first elements of the investigation, three men were injured by five others who were in the second vehicle.

The first hearings suggested that the attack had taken place with a broken bottle.

"Even if shards of bottles were found on the spot and broken during the altercation, it is not certain that blows were struck with it", tempers the assistant prosecutor Sébastien Farges.

Some victims refuse to file a complaint

For the time being, the perpetrators of this attack have not been identified.

“The victims are being heard, but some refuse to file a complaint or to be examined, or only give very summary information.

The surveillance videos are being used, ”explains the Rennes prosecutor's office.

Note that improper use of the main beam can be punished with a fourth class fine (135 euros) according to the Highway Code.

In particular, it is forbidden to use them when public lighting is sufficient.
