The bodies of two people, apparently a man and a woman, with apparent signs of violence and possibly deceased between two and three years ago, have been found buried near a rural road next to a ravine in the municipality of Elche (Alicante).
Sources of the case consulted by Efe have reported that the human remains
were found at noon last Sunday by some hikers
in the vicinity of the Grifo ravine.
First, a skull and several bones were discovered and, after calling the security forces, the National Police agents found a second skull and more bones, which were exhumed in the presence of a forensic doctor from the Institute of Legal Medicine of Alicante by order of the guard court of Elche.
Members of the General Police Station of the Scientific Police, in Madrid, participate in the investigations to try to identify the bodies and clarify the causes of death, although
the main line of investigation is that the deaths were violent
.
Although everything indicates that the bodies have been buried for about three years, other sources asked by Efe point out that they could have been there much longer, specifically between 25 and 30 years, a fact that the forensic examination should clarify.
