“Combat crews of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile system of the Eastern Military District are preparing to take up combat duty for air defense as part of the Unified Regional Air Defense System of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation at a training ground in the Brest Region during an inspection of the response forces of the Union State,” Interfax reports. .

At present, the personnel have worked out the deployment of military equipment in positions and have begun training in airspace control.

On February 3, divisions of the S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile systems participating in the test of the reaction forces of the Union State arrived in Belarus. 

Russia, as part of the test of the reaction forces of the Union State, also transferred Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and gun systems to Belarus. 

Permanent Representative of Belarus to the UN Valentin Rybakov recalled that the joint exercises of Russia and Belarus are of a defensive nature.

Allied Resolve 2022 exercises will be held from 10 to 20 February.
