Hear Fi Gothenburg's vice chairman above about the decision.

On Tuesday, Fi announced that the party has started an exclusion process against Gudrun Schyman, due to her involvement in the network Klimatalliansen.

The commitment is considered to be able to harm Fi.

The decision was notified to the local associations the evening before it was published, and without having obtained the local associations' views.

- We do not get it together and think that they should have collaborated with the local associations before making such a big decision, says Mona Brådfors, board member of Fi Gothenburg.

"Strange action"

Both she and the rest of the board believe that Gudrun Schyman's involvement in the Climate Alliance is rather a strength.

- We think this is a strange action.

You could see the Climate Alliance as a partner and an injection for all parties, says Miriam Friedlaender, vice chairman of Gothenburg.

She believes that several local branches think the same and she is afraid that the decision risks splitting the party just when you are facing an election year.

May be rooted in a misunderstanding

Gudrun Schyman tells SVT Nyheter Väst that she believes that everything is based on a misunderstanding:

- The Climate Alliance is seen as a traditional party - and it is not.

It is a movement from different parts of society and with different political affiliations.

But on Saturday, the members of the Climate Alliance will make a decision to apply for a party name.

Why?

- Because it will be more efficient.

But we are not a traditional party.

We want to be a blowtorch in the butt of other parties so that they understand that the climate crisis is something we must solve now - not later.

Call waiting

Karin Tennemar, communications manager at Fi, says this about the criticism.

- We in the party board obviously have that this arouses feelings and reactions.

But in the light of what has happened, we must open an exclusion case.

The case must have its way and we do our best to answer questions.

However, the last word has not yet been said, according to Gudrun Schyman:

- The party leadership and I will have some conversation about this.

So we'll see what it comes down to.
