- We had a group of moose that went and grazed on a pine plantation.

They take the top shoots and destroy the pine plants.

Then we got the idea to set up the radio that ran on batteries and then we plasticized it properly.

It had a sound around the clock and then the moose disappeared, says Åke Sjöstrand.

In the clip, Åke shows how he used the radio.

Want to tip homeowners

In recent years, SVT Nyheter has reported several times on problems with roaring wild boar in gardens.

We have, for example, told about Allan and Greta Gustafsson in Diö who had their entire garden destroyed overnight.

Åke Sjöstrand believes that the trick with the radio can be a solution even to scare away the wild boars.

- The wild boars are very sensitive to changes and sounds, so I think this is a good way.

It is best to have a radio channel that broadcasts both talk and music, so that it is not the same all the time, because then the animals get used to it.

What do you think about the risk of the animals getting used to the sound?

- Every year I do not think it helps with radio, but then the game will probably get used to.

It is not a one hundred percent solution, it can be said first aid, says Åke Sjöstrand.
