Tesla CEO Elon Musk

Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who is famous for being cruel to those around him, is known for comforting his father who lost his teenage son in a car accident for nearly two months.

On the 9th local time, Bloomberg reported news about the seven-week email exchange between James Reilly and Elon Musk, father of Barrett Riley, who died in an accident while driving a Tesla vehicle.

Barrett Riley was killed in May 2018, while driving his father's Tesla, in Florida, USA, when he hit a concrete wall in a residential area at a speed of 116 miles per hour and a subsequent vehicle fire.

The day after the accident, Musk sent an e-mail directly to James Riley, the father of the deceased driver, to express his condolences.

By the way, he said more than just condolences, they exchanged emails over the course of seven weeks, talking about the accident.

In an email, Musk comforted the Rileys, saying, "There is nothing more painful than losing a child," referring to his first son, Nevada Musk, who died at the age of 10 weeks. "My first son also died in my arms." I confided.

Further, Musk changed the Tesla vehicle's top speed to 50-90 mph (about 80-155 km) through a software update carried out in June 2018 after the accident, and in the driver's manual "In honor of Barrett Riley, This feature has been updated'.

For Tesla's response, James Riley thanked Musk via email.

This story was revealed during the trial of another Tesla vehicle fatality unrelated to Riley's accident, and Bloomberg also praised that "musk, who has been shameless, showed empathy for the victims."

This is a 'news pick'.
