These funds will be provided in addition to the macro-financial support already allocated by the European Union for the same amount and go to specific development projects,” Zelensky wrote on Telegram.

He also noted the importance of the partnership between Ukraine and France to combat current threats and challenges.

On February 1, the European Commission approved the allocation of a loan of €1.2 billion in macro-financial assistance to Ukraine.

In January, Zelensky held telephone conversations with the head of the European Commission and thanked von der Leyen "for consistent support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity" of Ukraine.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that in recent months Ukraine has received about $1.5 billion in support from Western partners.
