“The agreement with the United States actually leads to a violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Slovakia, which transfers part of the exercise of its rights to a foreign state,” Zhilinka said in a statement to RIA Novosti.

He also noted that the country risks losing control over military bases, vehicles, weapons and other military materials of another state stationed in Slovakia.

“Under this agreement, Slovakia will actually transfer its territory to another state for military purposes,” Zilinka said, adding that this would be done outside the framework of the NATO collective security treaty.

In addition, the Prosecutor General found 35 inconsistencies with Slovak law in the document.

Earlier, Sky News reported on the discussion by NATO member countries of the possibility of forming a combat unit on the territory of Slovakia, numbering about a thousand people.

Later, Washington and Bratislava entered into an agreement on military cooperation.
