"The ministers discussed ways to de-escalate ... and intensify a political settlement, in particular within the framework of the Normandy format," the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine reports.

The ministers, according to the Ukrainian side, said that the key step on this path should be the withdrawal of Russian troops from the Ukrainian border.

The parties also paid special attention to strengthening the defense capability of Ukraine and ensuring the economic and financial stability of the country.

Earlier it became known that France will allocate €1.2 billion as macro-financial assistance to Ukraine, which will help stabilize the economic situation in the country.

Kuleba previously reported that in recent months Ukraine has received about $1.5 billion in support from Western partners.
