Rental and tenancy committees decide issues concerning disputes between, for example, a landlord and a tenant, and a tenancy council is a kind of judge who chairs the committee.

The rent council, which is now being reported, has previously been brought to the attention of the magazine Hem & hyra for a tumultuous dispute with his former partner, who he sent a picture of a knife with the text "pay your debts".

According to the new report, the head of the current rent committee has received a number of signals that the rent council "is unprepared, ill-read and unfocused, that he is uneven in mood" and in several cases "acted in a way that allows his impartiality to be questioned. ”

Drives of paper

The 21-page application contains a long list of examples.

  • In a number of cases, cases have been dormant for several months without action.

Among other things, this has concerned matters which, according to the law and the board's own rules, were to be handled promptly and within three months.

In one case, a case was without action for 11 months.

  • Delay with minutes and response to parties - which gave the impression that he tried to "tire out the parties".

  • Two parties must have been left unattended inside the court's shell protection in violation of the security rules.

  • When a tenant told about a resident who was found dead and under the influence of alcohol, the tenant council must have joked: "He was simply in the dojo".

In a chaotic meeting, the rent council must text via mobile phone while the parties shout at each other.

Then he is said to have interrupted one of the parties, something he later explained with "I can not listen to her, she has written an entire Koran text".

After an administrator received a threatening call, the rent council must have shown an ornamental sword that he had in his room, and said that this was how he handled threatening situations, which caused the administrator to take it badly.

Rejects the criticism

The head of the committee writes in his report that they tried to give the rent council psychological help - but that the psychologist did not want to take on the case because they could not agree on a problem description.

The Rent Council rejects the criticism, which he believes is based on his boss not understanding the board's activities.

He is also said to have referred to diffuse health and vision problems.

It is now up to the State Liability Committee to decide whether the action should lead to a sanction.

SVT has been in contact with the designated rental council, which says it has not taken note of the report and declines the interview.
