A detachment of American soldiers has arrived in Romania.

Washington had announced at the beginning of the month the sending of troops to this NATO member country, in order to reassure the Allies worried about the tensions on the borders of Ukraine.

In addition to Romania, Poland has also seen additional reinforcements arrive in recent days.

A contingent which should reach a total of nearly 3,000 soldiers, intended to protect Eastern Europe from a possible invasion of Ukraine by Russia.

And the United States is not the only one to have pledged to send soldiers to Romania.

France has also announced that it will send troops, without specifying their number.

This deployment follows the arrival last Saturday of American soldiers in Poland, where a total of 2,000 additional soldiers are expected.
