A huge tank was used, opened on both sides, to support the area in which a tunnel was dug to reach Rayan's place. Since Saturday, the rescue teams have manually digging a horizontal tunnel into the well, to penetrate through and pull the child out.

In the final hours of the rescue effort, rescuers had to move very carefully as they tried to dig into the ground and rocks where Ryan lay. A large crowd gathered in the place.
