159 “Fraud committed by an organized group on an especially large scale” and Part 2 of Art.

292 “Official forgery” of the Criminal Code of Russia,” the statement says.

According to investigators, in 2015-2018, the accused as part of an organized criminal group, which included university officials, transferred funds from the university scholarship account to the settlement accounts of trusted persons and cashed them out.

They also forged signatures on payrolls for the receipt of wages and bonuses by university employees and received cash from their personal account without posting it to the cash desk of the educational institution.

As a result of criminal actions, damage was caused totaling more than 90 million rubles.

Earlier it was reported that the rector of the Samara university SSEU became a defendant in a criminal case.
