Earlier, Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN, said that the Ukrainian army continues shelling residential areas in the Donbass, while the West raises a fuss about Russia's alleged plans to attack Ukraine.

The day before, Antonov said that Russia was concerned about the position of the United States regarding the resolution of the crisis around Ukraine. 

He also noted that Russia needs "good neighborly relations with the fraternal Ukrainian people."
