The baby who was born in a house in Ibiza in
a birth allegedly assisted by the
suspended denial doctor and who had been admitted to the Son Espases pediatric ICU died this Friday afternoon, sources from the Majorcan hospital have confirmed to Europa Press.
The little boy suffered a
cardiorespiratory arrest
after being born in a privately assisted delivery in a house in Ibiza, and was initially transferred to the Can Misses Hospital.
Later, he had to be transferred to Son Espases where he has remained in the pediatric ICU until this Friday, when he died.
The Civil Guard continues with the investigation of the alleged participation in the birth of a doctor suspended from membership for denial.
It should be remembered, in this regard, that the Official College of Physicians of the Balearic Islands (Comib) sanctioned last May the doctor allegedly involved in the birth with a
suspension of membership for six years and a fine of 16,660 euros
for denying the COVID-19 pandemic. 19.
This was announced by the institution in a statement after notifying the affected party of the resolution that came from a disciplinary file for serious violations of multiple articles of the Code of Ethics and Medical Ethics.
The file was opened in September 2020 after demonstrations by the doctor on social networks and other media outlets
denying the SARS-CoV2 pandemic and calling for not wearing a mask
and disobeying the social distancing measures established by the authorities.
The Comib considered that the events were "extremely serious and extremely irresponsible, since they aroused a state of confusion, fear and social alarm, which represents a significant risk to public health."
