While the controversy that Gyeonggi-do officials were mobilized for the personal affairs of Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-myung's wife, Kim Hye-kyung, did not subside, we covered another story.

It is said that several Gyeonggi government officials were mobilized to deliver gifts to the relatives of then-Governor Lee Jae-myung ahead of Chuseok last year and to prepare the funeral service for the Holy Sepulcher.

Reporter Ahn Hee-jae reported exclusively.

<Reporter> This

is a telegram conversation between Ms. Bae, Grade 5 secretary, and Grade 7 A, from the General Affairs Division of Gyeonggi Provincial Office in September last year before the Chuseok holiday.

When Mr. Bae says, "We have to deliver to the governor's relatives," Mr. A asks for a list of relatives and their address.

The next day, Mr. Bae delivers some addresses, and Mr. A sends a memo saying "a memo from the protocol team" of the General Affairs Department.

The titles 'mother-in-law', 'second brother', 'youngest brother', 'sister' and 'brother-in-law', the name of the town, and items such as meat and apples are written side by side.

Some are marked with a G without a local name.

The total price of meat is 1.15 million won.

Mr. A said that he delivered the gifts prepared by the Gyeonggi-do protocol team in this way to the address that Mr. Bae gave him, using an official vehicle, and reported them one by one.

Public officials are also mobilized to prepare this candidate's grave.

Mr. A asks the fruit shop how to order.

Mr. A said that he received fruit, jujubes, chestnuts, etc. from a fruit store under Mr. Bae's instructions, and when he said "I came from Gyeonggi-do", the store employee recorded it in a book and gave it to him.

This is the place where Gyeonggi Province spent more than 40 million won in business promotion last year alone.

Mr. A bought 4 bottles of drinking alcohol at the mart with his personal card, and 18,400 won of this money was remitted a few days later by another Gyeonggi official.

In response, Candidate Jae-myung Lee stated that there was a fact that they requested delivery of the Chuseok holiday gift from the secretary, but it did not mean that they wanted it to be delivered directly.

He also said that there was a fact that he asked me to bring supplies.

However, it was explained that the gifts and supplies to relatives were purchased with personal expenses, not business promotion expenses.

It seems that it should be clarified whether business promotion expenses were used to purchase private gifts and supplies in the Gyeonggi-do audit and police investigation.
