北京オリンピックの開催に反対するデモは、IOC＝国際オリンピック委員会の本部があるスイスのローザンヌでも行われました。

亡命したチベットの人たちも抗議 インド

チベットの人たちが多く亡命しているインドの首都ニューデリーでも、中国が人権を侵害しているとして北京オリンピックの開催に反対する抗議集会が4日開かれました。



集会を開いたのは、インドに亡命したチベットの人たちで作る団体で、およそ100人の参加者が「人権なくしてオリンピックなし」などと書かれたプラカードや横断幕を持ち、「北京オリンピックのボイコットを」とシュプレヒコールを上げました。



主催した団体の代表は「オリンピックは人権の尊重などの理念をうたっていますが、チベットではこれがすべて無視されています。中国を非難するとともに、北京で大会を開くIOC＝国際オリンピック委員会にも不満を表明します」と話していました。

抗議デモ 日本でも

都内では新疆ウイグル自治区などで人権が侵害されているとして、ウイグルの人たちなどが大会の開催に抗議するデモを行いました。



開会式を前に東京 港区にある中国大使館の近くには、日本で暮らすウイグルやチベットの人など20人余りが集まりました。



参加者たちは、新疆ウイグル自治区や香港、それにチベット自治区などで人権侵害が行われているとして、「北京オリンピック開催への抗議デモ」と書かれた横断幕を掲げ、大使館の前で抗議の意見を表明しました。



この中では「オリンピックの精神とかけ離れた人権抑圧が繰り広げられている」として、中国で開催されることに抗議する声明文を読み上げていました。

街の声は

日本国内からは選手の活躍に期待の声が上がる一方、新型コロナへの不安や「外交的ボイコット」に関する声も聞かれました。



20代の女子大学生は「きょう開会式とは知りませんでした。東京オリンピックが1年延期されたので開催が早い気がします。高梨沙羅選手に期待しています」と話していました。



70代の夫婦は「スキーのジャンプやフィギュアスケートが楽しみです。羽生結弦選手に頑張ってほしいです。金メダルをとってくれるとみんなが元気になるので、コロナが広がることなく競技を全うしてほしいです」と話していました。



一方で、18歳の男子高校生は「『外交的ボイコット』もあって国と国がギクシャクしているように思います。ウイグルの人たちの問題もある中でオリンピックをやるのはあまりよくないと思います」と話していました。



また、80代の女性は「オリンピックだからこそ互いに認識し合って、平和な世界のための大会になってほしいです」と話していました。
