This is the third year in a row that SVT Nyheter Blekinge is nominated for the Sweden Prize, which is SVT's internal prize where contributions from the entire country's local newsrooms and national news compete.

This year, the reporting on Pelle Johansson in Holmsjö is nominated and can be praised in the category Near reporting.

The Pelle case is about an unprotected person who is cheated of hundreds of thousands of kronor by someone he thought was a friend.

Aroused great commitment

I still remember the feeling when I first saw the material.

It is fantastically strong journalism, says Mattias Christiansson, editor-in-chief of SVT Nyheter Blekinge.

It was SVT Nyheter Blekinge's reporter Jennifer Alm, who together with photographer Henrik Friberg and editor Martin Hult Ogenblad, revealed the plot in several reports that then spread throughout the country and aroused great interest in the small village Holmsjö.
