The Izvestia newspaper writes about this, citing a report from the regulator.

Roskomnadzor is considering economic restrictions as possible measures, which are provided for by the Federal Law “On the Activities of Foreign Persons in the Internet Information and Telecommunication Network in the Russian Federation” (No. 236-FZ).

It is noted that this law, among other things, provides for the possibility of a ban on advertising, search results, restriction of payments, as well as money transfers.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced the first stage of retaliatory measures against the German media due to the situation with the ban on broadcasting RT DE.

In particular, the Deutsche Welle bureau in Russia will be closed, the accreditations of all employees of the Russian bureau of this television and radio company will be canceled, and its satellite and other broadcasting will be terminated.

On December 16, RT launched a new 24/7 German-language news channel, RT DE, which broadcasts live news, talk shows and documentaries.

Shortly after the launch, YouTube deleted the account of the new channel RT DE - RT auf Sendung.

Google said that the channel was removed due to an alleged violation of the terms of use of the platform, namely, due to circumvention of already introduced restrictions.

Later it became known that the German media regulator MABB forced the European satellite operator Eutelsat 9B to remove from its platform RT DE, broadcasting from studios in Moscow.
