“The verdict of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea of 12 years in prison with serving a sentence in a strict regime colony came into force against an agent of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (GUR MOU), citizen of Ukraine Shiring Konstantin Semenovich, born in 1960.
The Third Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction dismissed the appeal filed by the defense," the FSB CSO said in a statement.
The department said that the agent was detained by the FSB in March 2020.
Shiring, on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services, attracted a Russian citizen from among the military personnel of the Russian Defense Ministry to cooperate.
According to the FSB, in July 2021, a Russian woman was sentenced to 8 years in prison for high treason with a 2-year suspension of the sentence.
