“The court sentenced Dzhelilov to 7 years and 6 months in prison in a penal colony,” the press secretary cites TASS.

It is noted that another defendant in the case, former district deputy Akif Balakhanov, received three years probation.

The verdict has not entered into force and can be appealed by way of appeal.

In 2019, the Basmanny Court of Moscow decided to detain Dzhelilov, suspected of three episodes of large-scale embezzlement.
