A 34-year-old homeless man appeared on Wednesday before the Orleans Criminal Court (Loiret) for sexual assault on a 17-year-old girl on December 21, 2021. The victim was sleeping in a sleeper train joining Orleans when she was awakened by touching, reports

The man had first asked her to shut up and insulted her.

He then let go of her when she screamed and struggled.

The victim had taken refuge in the corridor and had been taken care of by the controllers.

The 30-year-old was finally sentenced to eight months in prison, four of which are firm, to an obligation of care and work.

He was also banned from working with minors for five years.
