That is, weapons that will definitely be a very powerful deterrent for a possible expansion of aggression, ”he said in an interview with the Novoye Vremya portal.

He also clarified that the volunteers will not be given tanks, but they can provide armored personnel carriers, “at least those that are in warehouses that are not used (BTR-60, BTR-70).” 

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the Kiev authorities do not control a huge part of the Ukrainian military.
