“The prosecutor’s office of the Zasviyazhsky district of Ulyanovsk is conducting an inspection in connection with the fires that occurred today, January 29, in the entrances of houses 67, 71 and 77 along Avtozavodskaya Street,” TASS reports.
As specified, a criminal case was opened on the fact of the fire under Part 2 of Art.
167 of the Criminal Code of Russia (deliberate destruction or damage to another's property by arson).
According to the prosecutor's office, as a result of the fire in two residential buildings, 20 people were evacuated, including three children.
Another five people were injured.
Earlier, at the site of a fire in an apartment in Norilsk, the bodies of two children, three and five years old, were found, and another child was hospitalized.
