Clothing giant H & M's profit was clearly stronger than expected.

The stock soared sharply and rose 5.1 percent.

Truck giant Volvo also beat the stock market experts' profit forecasts, but the share price still fell 3.5 percent.

Several other engineering giants also fell sharply: SKF lost 3.2 percent and ABB lost 3.5 percent.

Among other large reporting companies, the medical technology company Getinge was clearly the best, plus 4.8 percent, while the white goods giant Electrolux fell 3.7 percent.

Continued turbulence

The turbulence thus continues on the world stock exchanges, as well as on the Stockholm Stock Exchange, in the wake of the interest rate turmoil that now characterizes the financial markets.

De ledande europeiska börserna fortsatte nedåt. FTSE100-index i London tappade 1,1 procent och CAC40-index i Paris gick ned 0,9 procent. DAX-index i Frankfurt hade klockan 17.45 backat 1,3 procent.
