All schools in Buryatia will be transferred to distance learning from January 31 due to the COVID-19 pandemic

“Due to the increase in the incidence of COVID-19 among children, by the decision of the Republican Operational Headquarters, all schools of the republic are switching to distance learning for two weeks from January 31, with the exception of students in the ninth and 11th grades,” the message says on the official portal of the region.

Also, the work of computer clubs in the republic is suspended from January 28 to February 13.

Earlier it became known that the authorities of Buryatia until April 1 extended the restrictive measures introduced earlier due to the coronavirus pandemic in the region.

In particular, citizens over the age of 65 are recommended to observe the regime of self-isolation.

Director of the Scientific Information Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Viral Infections Georgy Vikulov, in an interview with NSN, commented on the situation with the pandemic against the backdrop of the spread of the Omicron strain.
