China News Service, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- A hypothetical Republican candidate would beat U.S. President Joe Biden by 9 percentage points if he were to run for re-election now, according to the latest Politico/Morning Consult poll.

However, if the contenders are identified as former President Trump or former Vice President Pence, Biden will be expected to narrowly win by 45% to 44% and 44% to 42%, respectively.
