“Given that there are no our military personnel in Ukraine, and the contingent stationed in Poland has returned, I don’t know which military the president is thinking about recalling.

His statement about the corruption of Ukraine is not our position, and on behalf of the government I apologize to the Ukrainians, ”the press service of the government quotes the Prime Minister of Croatia as saying.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry invited Croatian Ambassador Anica Dzhamich after the statements of Croatian President Zoran Milanovic, which, according to Kiev, "offend the memory of Ukrainians who gave their lives for the European future of Ukraine."

The country's Foreign Ministry demanded a "public refutation of these offensive statements" and confirmation that this would not happen again in the future.

As previously reported by the Croatian edition Dnevnik, Milanovic said that Ukraine has no place in NATO.

According to him, the change of power in Ukraine was a coup, "any movement, but not democratic."

The Croatian President also warned that his country would withdraw its troops from NATO forces in Eastern Europe in the event of a conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

According to him, such a decision will not be connected with Ukraine or Russia, but "with the dynamics of American domestic politics."
