For his part, Director of the Institutional Development Office for Ports Affairs - Deputy Head of the Checkpoint Team at Expo 2020 Dubai, Major Khalifa Al Hajri told "Emirates Today" that the presence of this group of players in "Expo Dubai" is among the recruits joining the 15th batch of service. Al-Hajri explained the role of the players in “Expo 2020 Dubai”, as they perform work with the insurance teams, gates and security inspections.

He continued, "The four gates of (Expo 2020 Dubai), which are: Opportunities, Mobility, Sustainability, and the Metro, are secured by the presence of the 15th batch of National Service recruits, including athletes and players who work on shifts, and their role is to secure entry for anyone to the World Expo, and to ensure that no one enters the exhibition. Items that are not allowed to enter, such as weapons, sharp tools and all prohibitions, and at the same time they are securing the employees of the International Exhibition, who have been assigned specific gates, and the same applies to the gate designated for VIPs.

Al-Hajri pointed out that the recruits began early to prepare for their roles in this global event: “They also completed the specialized course in the armed forces, and performed specialized training at Dubai airports by training them to inspect passengers, through specialized courses in the field of airport security and inspection in passenger buildings. Full on how to inspect passengers and employees, so they gained the necessary experience and were qualified to be able to perform their security duties at Expo 2020 Dubai.”

Al-Hajri continued: “All players and recruits are currently dealing with the security services in the best possible way, especially since they were in (Expo Dubai) two months before its launch, specifically since last August, and things are going very positively, and we thank them for the great role they play in performing their duties to the fullest, and in the best possible image.”
