“We are planning to start construction of large facilities – this is the Teatralnaya metro station in Samara, the extension of the Avtozavodskaya metro line in Nizhny Novgorod, the metro tram in Chelyabinsk,” RIA Novosti quoted Khusnullin as saying at a meeting on the implementation of strategic initiatives for socio-economic development.

In total, 20 regions have been approved for infrastructure budget loans for the development of public transport in the amount of more than 160 billion rubles.

Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced that in the coming year it is planned to introduce another 30 km of dedicated lanes for public transport in the capital.
