A device that treats and relieves pain without drugs in Dubai
The Dubai Health Authority has revealed a new technology for treating and relieving pain without the need for medication, applied for the first time in the Middle East.
During its participation in the Arab Health Exhibition 2022, the authority explained that it has started using the new technology at Rashid Hospital to relieve and treat chronic pain through thermal frequency.
The new technology, which is the first of its kind in the Middle East region, contributes to the disappearance of pain within a short period, and the avoidance of taking analgesics that may have side effects and health risks when used in the long term, and contributes to the treatment of many pathological conditions, including pain. Chronic pain in the neck, back and spine, treatment of osteoarthritis in the spine or posterior pelvis, shoulder and knee, treatment of central nerve root pain and peripheral nerve pain.
The new technology allows doctors to have accurate access to the site of injury or pain, the ability to treat several areas at the same time, and precise control of the temperature used when treating, as this is done by performing a diagnostic test for the nerve to be treated by stimulating the fibers responsible for sensation and movement each on alone.
