According to preliminary information, an eight-year-old boy was attacked by a pack of stray dogs, which was quickly driven away by a passerby.

The child did not need medical attention.

Earlier it was reported that investigators opened a criminal case into the death of a seven-year-old girl in the Chita district of the Trans-Baikal Territory as a result of an attack by dogs.

Later, the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to prepare proposals for changing the legislation after cases of death due to attacks by stray dogs in the regions.

State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin, amid attacks by stray dogs on people, called for the introduction of responsibility for officials responsible for the situation in the regions.
